The Janome Magnolia 7330 is a computerized sewing machine and as you’ve seen, it combines lots of sewer friendly features in a wonderful machine. The 7330 really is a push button machine as the only knob on this sewing machine is the hand crank.
The 7330 has 30 built in stitches, which include 6 one step buttonholes that will sew a buttonhole to fit your button perfectly every time and the needle position is variable with 3 needle positions.
Great news for all users, but beginners in particular, is that his Janome sewing machine is just about ‘jam proof’. It won’t even jam if you sew off the edge of the fabric.
It has accessory storage in the extension arm – that’s the piece that comes off to reveal the free arm.
The stitch chart on the front of the Janome 7330 tells you which presser foot you need to use for any particular stitch. As seen on the image to the left, the presser feet are indicated by letters under the stitches and the snap on presser feet make it super easy to change presser foot on this sewing machine.
The Janome 7330 comes with 4 snap on, low shank presser feet:
- General Purpose Foot
- Zipper
- Satin Stitch
- Automatic Buttonhole Foot
It also has three levels of presser foot height to accommodate quilting projects as well as thick fabrics.

What’s my impression of the Janome 7330?
I’ve loved everything I’ve read about this machine. I haven’t seen anything negative about it. The comments about it’s performance and stability are consistent. I think that for a beginner this would be the ideal sewing machine as it is easy to use and it doesn’t play up! There is nothing more frustrating for even an experienced seamstress than a sewing machine that has finicky tension or that jams constantly – never mind the frustration that it would cause a beginner.
I think that it’s features and ease of use outweigh the fact that it only has 30 stitches and 4 presser feet included (compared to some other cheaper machines that have more of both). If I were in the market for a new sewing machine in this price range – I think that it would be the one.
